Many divers consider the regulator to be the part of any scuba diving outfit which should be the best quality, there are hundreds of different styles regulators, some featuring accessories and features which others may not have. A BCD or Buoyancy Control Device is used to equal out the weight of the diver to ensure a balanced feeling of weightlessness during the dive, lead weights are sometimes used to aid this. The BCD used the oxygen in the diver's tank to inflate the jacket which makes the diver float, the diver needs to work out the correct amount to ensure they stay level in the water.
